CED Tracker helps His Grace and the priests of the diocese see the progress of readers, subdeacons and servants through the Christian Education Department's certification programs. It is for approved diocese clergy, and for servant stewards a priest invites to follow his church's servants.
What we use
- Your email address and name, to sign you in with a one-time code and to show your name in the app. Only emails on the diocese's approved list (or invited by a priest as a servant steward) can sign in.
- Certification records from the department's learning system (Canvas) and servant records kept by the department: names, churches, and exam and course progress. Bishops see every church; priests see only their own church.
- Church addresses, which a priest can update for his own church.
- Ordination records that His Grace enters in the app.
- Servant stewards' names and email addresses, which a priest enters to invite them. We email them once to say they've been invited, and use the address to let them sign in. A steward sees only the servants of that church (not readers or subdeacons) until the priest removes them, which deletes their invitation.
Location
If you turn on church visits in the iPhone app, it uses your location only on your iPhone to notice when you're at a church. Your location is never sent to our server or anyone else. You can turn this off at any time in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings. The Android app and the website don't use your location.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no tracking and no analytics.
- We don't sell or share information with anyone outside the diocese's Christian Education Department.
Where it's kept
The app's server runs on Railway (a hosting service) in the United States, over encrypted connections. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend. On your phone, the app keeps a copy of the last data it loaded so it opens quickly; it's deleted when you sign out.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time, which removes the saved data from your device. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your access removed, email appsupport@coptic.education.
